01 / CHECK YOUR BOX
Multiverse Reforged tokens: the ten printed pairs
The Multiverse Reforged tokens supplied with the Commander precon are ten nonfoil, double-sided inserts. They sit alongside the 100-card deck, a reference card and a deck box. Use the checklist below to compare both faces of each insert with the official product list. It records physical pairings, not a promise that one copy of each face will cover every board state your deck can create.
This page answers a different question from the 100-card decklist: which supporting pieces should be in the box, and what needs attention before you use them? The stock deck contains Jace and Nissa within its hundred cards. Neither commander becomes an extra deck card simply because the packaging presents it separately. Likewise, a printed Jace token face is a supporting piece, not another copy of the face commander.
Each row represents one physical insert. The names identify its two faces; they do not assign a permanent front and back for gameplay. The Angel row needs the printing clarification immediately below the table. You can tick the boxes while sorting your own set; the ticks stay on this page only and are not saved or sent anywhere.
| Checked | One face | Other face |
|---|---|---|
| Kobolds of Kher Keep | Phyrexian Mite | |
| Soldier | Map | |
| Spirit | Jace | |
| Warrior | Shark | |
| Zombie Army | Goblin | |
| Insect | Rogue | |
| Angel | Treasure | |
| Gingerbrute | Myr | |
| The Monarch (helper) | Citizen | |
| Incubator | Phyrexian |
The Monarch entry is specifically a helper. Keeping that label visible avoids describing every face as a creature token. Map, Treasure and Incubator also need their own card instructions; a list of names is not a substitute for their rules. For readable official artwork and text, open the token and helper image gallery.
02 / OFFICIAL CORRECTION
The Angel mismatch in Multiverse Reforged tokens
The important distinction is the represented creature, not whether the illustration looks suitable. Color and power/toughness are game information. A blue Angel marked 3/3 does not accurately describe the white 4/4 Angel specified in the official correction. Do not silently use the mismatched face as though its printed characteristics were the effect you resolved.
When checking your Multiverse Reforged tokens, read the Angel face itself. If it is the blue 3/3 version, keep it identified as the supplied mismatch and prepare a clearly distinguished representation of the white 4/4 Angel for the relevant effect. At a casual table, discuss your representation with the other players before starting; for an organized event, ask the organizer about acceptable materials. This page does not promise a particular event policy.
The official announcement says the matching white Angel is also available in Reality Fracture Collector Boosters. That identifies a product source, not a guarantee of finding it in any particular pack. It is not a recommendation to buy randomized packs for one insert. If you choose to look for a separate token, verify its actual image and characteristics rather than relying only on a seller's short title.
The correction does not identify a package serial number or cutoff that this guide can use to authenticate a printing. A seller's claim that a box is from a later batch therefore does not replace checking the enclosed face. We have not opened or tested a retail box, and we do not claim every currently available box contains the corrected version.
03 / AVOID FALSE MISSING-CARD ALARMS
Count inserts separately from the deck
To inventory Multiverse Reforged tokens, make three piles: the playable deck, the double-sided inserts, and the separate reference material. Count the deck against the published stock list. Count the inserts as ten physical pieces, turning each over before deciding that a named face is absent. Counting both sides as separate cards is an easy way to expect twice as many physical pieces as the product promises.
The ten pairings are useful precisely because an unfamiliar face may be on the reverse of a piece you already found. For example, the official pairing puts Spirit and Jace on the same insert. If you locate one face, turn it over to check the other rather than looking for a second physical card. The checklist preserves those pairs so you can work methodically across the set.
For Multiverse Reforged tokens, the two sides of one insert also create a practical tracking limitation: you cannot display both faces of that same physical object at once. If your battlefield needs both represented objects simultaneously, prepare distinct markers or extra copies so the table can tell them apart. This is a usability suggestion, not a claim about how often any particular combination occurs.
A stock contents list is not an exhaustive prediction of a game. Repeated effects, copied effects, and changes to the deck can create needs beyond one printed example. Conversely, possessing a token face does not by itself establish that your current deck can create it. Read the resolving card's instructions and use the official card image as your reference for what the represented object should be.
04 / BEFORE GAME NIGHT
Prepare your Multiverse Reforged tokens without guesswork
- Check the stock list first. Confirm your hundred playable cards using the searchable decklist. Set the supporting inserts aside so they cannot be shuffled into the library accidentally.
- Match the printed pairs. Work down the ten rows, inspecting both faces. Keep unchecked rows visible until you have finished sorting; refreshing the page clears the temporary checkmarks.
- Inspect the Angel. Read its color and printed numbers. Record whether your copy shows the acknowledged mismatch, rather than inferring the version from a purchase date.
- Make the board readable. Prepare separate representations for objects you may need at the same time. Keep names and relevant characteristics clear and agree on any substitutes with your table.
- Review after upgrades. If you change the stock list, compare the added cards' text with the supporting pieces you have. The box checklist remains a contents reference, not a customized list for every build.
This Multiverse Reforged tokens checklist deliberately avoids adding unverified abilities to the table. The current card or effect determines characteristics and instructions; a compact inventory cannot resolve every interaction. If something appears inconsistent, consult the official gallery and rules resources before relying on a remembered token name. The stock deck guide provides broader context for reading the deck's composition.
05 / QUICK ANSWERS
Multiverse Reforged tokens FAQ
Are the tokens included in the 100-card count?
No. The product lists ten double-sided inserts separately from the hundred-card Commander deck. Keep those counts separate when comparing your box with the official contents.
Does the wrong Angel mean the decklist is wrong?
The announced issue concerns a supporting Angel token. It does not change the published hundred-card list. Verify a suspected missing deck card against that list separately from checking the insert pack.
Will a later printing definitely have the corrected Angel?
Wizards states that later printings will feature the white 4/4 Angel. This guide cannot identify a particular sealed box's printing or inspect its contents. Check the supplied face once you can examine it.
Can I download printable official token cards here?
No printable card artwork is hosted here. The table is an inventory aid. Use the linked official image gallery to inspect the published faces, and follow the relevant permissions and event requirements for any materials you prepare.
Are these recommendations based on playtesting?
No. The Multiverse Reforged tokens list and Angel clarification come from Wizards' announcement. The sorting and preparation steps are editorial guidance; we do not claim firsthand box inspection, gameplay results, or a tested token quantity for every possible game.
